How far in advance should I book?

I typically book 4–6 weeks out for family and maternity sessions, with spring and summer filling by April. Maternity sessions should be booked in your second trimester to secure your spot. Weddings book 6–18 months in advance, so if you're planning a 2026 date, now is the time.

Is this worth the investment?

The photos you'll have from this session will outlast almost everything else in your home. They're what you grab in an emergency. They're what your kids will show their kids. I take that seriously, which is why I don't rush, don't over-pose, and don't deliver anything I'm not proud of. This isn't a commodity. It's a record of your life.

Where do sessions take place?

Anywhere meaningful to you: a favorite park, your backyard, the beach, downtown Sacramento. I'll help you choose a spot with beautiful light for your session time.

What if it rains or something comes up?

Life happens, I get it. If weather or an unexpected conflict comes up, we'll reschedule at no charge. I want your session to feel easy and stress-free from start to finish.

Do you travel outside Sacramento?

Yes! I'm based in Sacramento and serve the surrounding areas including the Bay Area, Tahoe, and beyond. Travel fees apply for sessions more than 30 miles out, so just ask when you reach out.

What should we wear?

I send every client a full styling guide before their session. The short answer: coordinated (not matching), comfortable, and true to you. Avoid large logos and super-bright whites.

When will we get our photos?

Portrait sessions get a sneak peek within 24 hours, because waiting is the worst. Full galleries for family, maternity, newborn, and couples sessions are delivered within 7 days. Elopements and weddings get a sneak peek within 48 hours and the full gallery within 14 days.

Do you offer payment plans?

Accepted Answer

Yes! A retainer secures your date, and the remaining balance is due before your session. For weddings, I offer flexible payment plans. Reach out and we'll figure out what works.
